ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW: Face to Face Health and Counseling is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing economic and health equity for youth ages 11–24. We do this work through a comprehensive approach that includes housing, mental health, medical, youth justice, education & employment, and community services. We take a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to our work and center the needs of young people impacted by racism and other forms of oppression and marginalization. Founded in 1972, Face to Face serves more than 3,000 youth annually.
JOB SUMMARY: This role is responsible for establishing trusting youth-adult relationships while providing supportive services at SafeZone, a Drop-In Center for youth experiencing homelessness. Case Managers work with youth to achieve their goals around housing, education, employment, financial stability, building support networks, and more. The Case Manager will also take part in facilitating different programs and workshops that align with youth's interests in overcoming barriers.
This position is 37.5 hours a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Supportive Services Provide Case Management supportive services to youth Establish healthy and appropriate physical and emotional boundaries with youth Support healthy adolescent development of youth Conduct individual assessments to determine needs and goals Assist clients with reaching their education, employment, and housing goals Process rental assistance applications for youth Complete SafeZone intake and appropriate assessments Assist clients in meeting benchmarks in their goals Document youth outcomes in all appropriate databases Complete appropriate paperwork in a timely manner Transport clients as needed to accomplish their goals Conduct home visits with clients Develop and maintain relationships agency-wide and community-wide with youth serving programs and agencies Maintain a caseload consisting of drop-in space clients and referrals for scattered housing programs Collaborate with internal programming staff and contribute to group activities and youth leadership opportunities Engage in training and development to maintain a holistic understanding of case management Collaborate with other staff and maintain team work style, and maintain professional working relationships with clients or other outside agencies or contacts Provides all services guided by the evidence-based principles for helping youth overcome homelessness. Drop-In Services Conduct intakes and CEYS assessments for youth coming into the drop-in space Provide excellent customer service while greeting and checking youth in the center Engage with youth at the center in a meaningful and respectful manner assisting them with various resources offered at the center or in the community Respond to crisis situations in the space and de-escalate in a calm and professional manner Assist youth in accessing emergency housing Maintain the daily flow of the drop-in center by helping at the front desk, in the clothing closet, computer lab, kitchen, or other areas as needed Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of B.A. degree in social services, extensive experience in lieu of degree Minimum of 2 years' experience working with youth experiencing homelessness or facing other barriers Experience with a positive youth development and harm reduction approach Excellent interpersonal and communication skills High reliability and integrity High degree of problem-solving skill Positive attitude and willingness to do what it takes to meet youth needs Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment and involving others when necessary Good crisis management skills and the ability to navigate stressful situations well Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial and cultural backgrounds. LOCATION: Essential Onsite Flex – This role requires the employee to be onsite, with the possibility of some specific and limited remote hours. Employees are required to be fully onsite during the initial 3-month training period.

PAY & BENEFITS: The pay rate for this position is between $25 - $26.50 an hour, based on qualifications.
