M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for an Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at the Vascular Clinic located in Maplewood MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Vascular Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic. Our clinic is open Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance!
This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening.
This position is scheduled for four 10 hour shifts, subject to change based on clinic needs.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
Surgery scheduling involves pre-op services based on patients need, partnership with the Financial Securing Center in order to acquire prior authorization, attention to emergent scheduling criteria, and post-surgical follow-up appointments. Additional duties performed as assigned to support surgery scheduling needs.
Requests and receives medical records from appropriate sources, if applicable. Acquires authorization for evaluations, procedures, treatment programs, therapies, etc, from managed care plans and other payers. Communicates with patient, staff and referring physician regarding authorization decisions. Schedules services such as tests, procedures, follow-up visits and any other services the patient may require as taken from Doctors orders. Produces efficient and accurate schedules and associated reports. Records and updates schedule changes accurately. Communicates changes to all involved staff in a timely manner. Monitors discharge status of patient, discharges patients and coordinates discharge communication procedures to referring physician. Responsible for answering of multiple telephone lines and helping the caller needs quickly and thoroughly. Participates actively in department trouble shooting, coordinating patients schedules for multiple fields. Seeks out solutions to scheduling difficulties directly through parties involved, area managers, and other available resources
Qualifications:
Preferred Vocational/Technical training or Associates Degree One to Three Years scheduling experience Other Skills We Desire at Fairview: High standard of creative prioritization skills and priority setting.
