Regions Hospital has a great opportunity to join our nursing team as a RN in Mental Health to work with an incredible team of people who have a passion for caring for others!
This mental health unit has 20 private rooms/bathrooms (some handicapped accessible), separate dining and day room space, a spacious group room, a comfort room, and open areas for visiting and relaxing. In addition, patients have access to a large activity room and a secured outdoor space. This unit provides care to patients 18 years and older that are experiencing an acute mental health illness of moderate acuity. In addition, patients may have medical/surgical conditions that are being treated and require intervention. The expected length of stay on the unit is 3 to 5 days.

As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. All new hire registered nurses at Regions Hospital will be automatically enrolled. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. Work Schedule: 0.70 Night Shift. Every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications:
•Degree in Nursing
•Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
•CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications:
•BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
•One year of acute care RN experience is preferred
