Part Time Youth Program Coordinator Position at Northern Star Scouting! Join our Team with a Starting Hourly Wage of $19.00

Northern Star Scouting seeks energetic individuals like yourself to deliver Scouting programs to youth in our communities. Do you need a flexible job to work around your busy schedule? Do you want to have a positive impact on our youth and communities? No Scouting experience necessary! This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain valuable, youth development experience, including teaching methods, interpersonal communication, and leadership.

This is a part-time, nonexempt position with a starting hourly pay of $19.00. You will receive mileage reimbursement and paid sick and safe time. The work hours are extremely flexible, and we will collaborate to create a schedule that works for everyone!

Responsibilities Deliver Scouting programs at partner schools, housing communities and centers in the Twin Cities metro area. Deliver Scouting programs to youth and young adults with special needs and disabilities at day centers and partner schools. Plan, develop, and lead fun, educational, age-appropriate activities using established curriculum. Serve as a positive role model to all youth by fostering an inclusive learning environment and develop teamwork, leadership, and confidence-building skills. Qualifications

Required: Must be age 18 or older Education: High school diploma or GED Experience: Must have some experience working with youth ages 7-16 in education, youth development, recreation, social services, or after school/community programs A valid driver's license and the ability to maintain auto insurance Preferred: Some college courses Experience with Scouts or other youth organizations is preferred, though not required Experience working with individuals with special needs and disabilities Strong organizational and communication skills
