Job Description
The Project Manager-Customer Implementation is responsible for setting and managing client expectations during an implementation and facilitating the transition to Client Services and Support. The Project Manager-Customer Implementation will manage/coordinate resources from training, data conversion, and infrastructure to successfully deliver the projects on time and at or under budget. The Project Manager-Customer Implementation will utilize the Infinite Campus Product Implementation Methodology (PIM) framework as the standard approach to the implementation process for core product implementations. PIM allows Infinite Campus to provide a consistent approach as to tasks and deliverables and repeatable success. In many cases the Project Manager-Customer Implementation will also manage/influence internal development resources in order to meet specific localization requirements to support state reporting. Must be legally authorized to work within country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B) now and/or in the future.
Job Responsibilities Manage multiple small district implementations simultaneously Manage multiple phases or multiple projects using a structured project management and implementation methodology Define project goals, identify constraints and risks Work with customers to define and document the project scope for each implementation. Produce detailed project plan(s) based on the project deliverables, timelines and requirements Monitor and manage project scope effectively to ensure project remains on track Guide and direct customers to the appropriate company resources as needed for out of the ordinary feature utilization or customization requests, Organize and conduct project phase reviews Monitor, analyze, and evaluate processes and project completion Continuously evaluate project plan and revise as necessary Develop a detailed task list to the work package level Identify the sequence of work and any internal or external interdependencies Estimate the duration and resource requirements for each task to the work package level Identify, track, and manage deliverables by phase Analyze and prioritize risks and assess potential impact on project Assess and mitigate risks associated with resistance, cultural impact and process change Establish alternative actions for realized risks and the triggers to begin the actions Manage initial client relationship Communicate relevant elements of project plan to customers establishing a plan for customer awareness preparing them to go live by:
Highlighting key policy issues and overall project goals and scope Actively soliciting, uncovering, and negotiating customer strategic objectives and related requirements Identifying stakeholders and decision makers Projecting status, critical milestones, critical issues and major changes to project plan Communicate relevant information to team members in a timely manner Document and report project status Secure and sustain effective project sponsorship Manage multiple priorities and customer expectations Access Infinite Campus product customer data to triage and provide remedial resolution or recommendations for impromptu district and state reporting issues; help resolve escalated Support issues Other related duties as assigned Desired Background Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts or relevant program or project office management experience Knowledge of software development methods and practices Knowledge and proficient use of project management tools such as MS Project Previous Packaged Software Implementation experience. Leading projects with cross-functional teams Managing client relationships and expectations Leading to completion projects of a strategic nature which are business critical PMI Certification desired.
