Who We Are:

The facilities maintenance technician is part of a small, highly visible team that performs building and ground maintenance at all APMG facilities. This hands-on position will assist with change-outs of mechanical components for various infrastructure and HVAC systems, emphasizing preventive maintenance to achieve utility savings. Along with the facility manager and other team staff, this position will assist with building coverage throughout the day through designated shifts on an on-call basis. Seasonal duties may include assistance with snow removal and lawn maintenance on company grounds. This is a dayshift, On-Call position. Days /hours of the week will vary.

Expected Compensation Range: $25 - $27/per hour. The exact hourly rate is determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Location: St. Paul, on-site

Your Responsibility: Planned maintenance, repairs, ad-hoc custodial work, and various projects for the building Perform repair and maintenance services for the following systems: HVAC, plumbing, lighting, security, painting, and other mechanical systems and equipment. Perform basic ground maintenance such as minor irrigation maintenance, pest removal, Landscaping, mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, and snow and ice removal from sidewalks Respond effectively to on-call and emergencies Respond to general maintenance request tickets submitted via the in-house ticketing system. Work with the Facilities Manager to ensure the facility remains safe, secure, and well-maintained Work with Facilities Manager to ensure compliance with ADA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations. Move and install office furniture systems as needed. Other tasks as listed on the building maintenance preventative plan. Required Education and Experience:Technical school degree in a related field or equivalent experience in maintenance or a related field Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:A valid driver's license required Knowledge of materials, tools, methods, and equipment used in building trades Knowledge of proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when appropriate. Ability to learn new skills and tasks Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication and accountability Solid interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive relationships at all levels of the organization Ability to learn or experience with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other software applications Must be confident, self-motivated, and a self-starter Willingness to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities, and work under pressure Preferred Skills and Experience:Demonstrated ability to maintain facility systems, including plumbing, lighting, security, and HVAC equipment Knowledge of industry-specific best practices and applications Must be confident, self-motivated, and a self-starter Willingness to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities, and work under Reporting to This Position:None

Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to manage some work outside of standard office hours as needed Physical Demands: Required to move about in an office environment and sit for extended periods, climb or balance, stoop, kneel Ability to lift 50 lbs. Required to move about in the community Frequent use of hands for data entry/keystrokes and simple grasping Ability to Climb ladders, and stairways, and use a manlift/scissor lift at ceiling heights or above with proper safety equipment for extended periods. Working Conditions: Moderate to high noise level Exposure to outside climate conditions On-call rotation as required Occasionally working with potentially harmful chemicals, substances, and bodily fluids.
