Job Description
Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital (we are part of the HealthPartners organization as a separate nonprofit organization.) We provide quality care to patients from 18+ years of age who are in need of a short-term stay. Our average length of stay is 17 days. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for the following job duties and responsibilities:
Administer assessment and evaluations to determine client's capabilities and disabilities in areas such as motor skills, reflex development, self-help skills, personal/social skills, perception, sensory integration, ROM and muscle strength and coordination etc. Plans programs involving activities, such as manual arts and crafts, practice in functional homemaking skills and ADL's and participation in sensorimotor, educational, recreational and social activities designed to help patients develop or regain functioning or adjust to disabilities. Communicates with the patient care team on patient progress, treatment goals and recommendations through concise, thorough, accurate and professional documentation. Conduct individual or group therapy sessions Performs other duties as assigned. FTE: 1.0; 40 hours per week
Work Schedule: 6am-230pm; Required to work every 4th weekend
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy Licensed by the State of MN as an OT Completion of required annual educational courses to maintain MN license with the Board of Occupational Therapy About Us
