Overview:
Fairview Health Services is hiring an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join our Interventional Imaging team at our M Health Fairview St. Johns Hospital location in Maplewood, MN. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The interventional technologist assists with invasive procedures in the Interventional angio suites, collects and assesses image data and performs scrub role assisting the radiologist.
Schedule: This position will be working 0.01 FTE (Casual position - Day/Evening/Night shift).

Responsibilities/Job Description:
As an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist, you will be responsible for:
Maintaining patient care and participating in creating a culture of patient safety Communicating with and educating the patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the procedure. Correctly operating equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines while identifying and responding to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly. Applies established standards of aseptic technique during patient preparation, draping and set up for all procedures. Ensuring patient data integrity, performing examinations, identifies relevant data from images accurately, and communicating pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional. During invasive procedures - must be able to achieve and maintain homeostasis manually or with mechanical device of physician choice when required. Assisting the radiologist with required catheter and wire manipulation while maintaining the required sterile technique. Demonstrating the ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served. ?
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Education Vocational/ Technical training or Associate Degree in Diagnostic Imaging or related License/Certification/Registration American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Preferred Qualifications: Experience 1 year experience as an Interventional technologist License/Certification/Registration ARRT IR certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire.
