Job Summary: The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of production, compounding, maintenance, and sanitization processes. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in operations management within the personal care manufacturing industry. The Director of Operations will ensure efficient, cost-effective operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational departments, including production, compounding, maintenance, and sanitization.Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve business objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (GMP, ISO, FDA, etc.).Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring that production schedules are met and products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.Manage and optimize the production process to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.Ensure that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized to meet operational and safety standards.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, R&D, and Supply Chain, to support new product development and process improvements.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive accountability.Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.Ensure proper training and development of operational staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within the personal care or related manufacturing industry.Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Proficiency in operations management software and tools.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.Certification in operations management (e.g., APICS, PMP) is a plus.
