Worksite Location: Eagan, MN (hybrid) Pay: $22-25/hr 12 month contract What you'll do as an Associate Credit Representative: Receive payments and post amounts paid to customer accounts Locate and monitor overdue accounts Confer with customers by telephone or in person to determine reasons for overdue payments and to review the terms of sales, services, or credit contracts Persuade customers to pay amounts due on credit accounts, damage claims, or non-payable checks, or to return merchandise Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on customers' financial situations Prioritize past-due accounts to be worked Set a work plan and manage deliverables that result in driving down past-due balances Complete frequent account reviews and analysis, customer outreach, sales outreach, collaboration meetings, and payment research Push out proactive customer communication and respond to inbound customer and sales inquiries daily Identify barriers preventing customers from paying on time, coordinate resolution discussions, and help guide customers through solving and breaking down the barriers to timely payment What you'll bring to the Associate Credit Representative role: High school diploma or GED 5-7+ years of financial or customer service experience Verbal and written communication skills, customer service, and negotiation skills Basic Windows and Microsoft software skills Ability to accurately document and record customer or client information Exceptional debt recovery techniques Basic mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations as related to collections Strong analytical skills, ability to review large data sets, see patterns, and efficiently tie related transactions together Ability to work independently in a self-managed environment where the goals and outcomes are defined but the daily tasks to deliver those outcomes are at the associate's discretion Take the first step on your new career path!
