Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.This position is based at our Haina facility.
The Manufacturing Engineer design and implement processes that can achieve the levels of required quality, customer service and manufacturing, providing technical support to maintain and improve the efficiency and productivity levels desired by the implementation ofthe Eaton Business System Tools.
1. Correct and prevent manufacturing problems related to the process and productivity.
2. Follow up, improve and monitor metrics or capacity measures, such as Yield, Scrap, Productivity, Efficiency.
3. Monitor and control flow of production processes through the development and implementation of the EBS tools.
4.Determine the man-load for the manufacturinglines and provide the equipment, machine and tools required on demand.
5.Design the manufacturing systems Lay-Out.
6. Develop and implement programs to reduce costs and increase efficiency of productivity.
7.Analyze customer complaints and develop corrective action plan.
8.Monitor and implement quality standards based on EQS to ensure the certification of the norm.
9.Analize and evaluate capital cost metrics: Scrap, rework, etc.
10.Provide training and coordination to the engineering assistants/Coop assigned to the manufacturing lines.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree of Industrial, Electromechanical or Electrical Engineer or similar careers.
- Experience of 1-3 years in similar positions.
- Full Bilingual (English / Spanish)
- PC knowledge: Auto Cad, Access, Minitab and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Design Interpretation
- Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and ISO9001.
- Knowledge of project management and problem solving techniques.
